Having a "Keyswitch" function allowing to choose different sets of shades manually.
For example, on a rim shot, the MIDI controller modulation wheel could be used to control the striking position to obtain harmonic content variations. Like on a real snare in short.
This feature would work more deeply for HH. IRL, very strong pressure on the foot HH has a different effect on the sound that a high pressure, moderate, etc ...
