Yes, I have tried the minimal mapping in the settings. I have already been through all of this at your other forums here. There is no way for me to map my Yamaha DTXtreme IIs kit with EZD2. IMHO, adding midi mapping to EZD2 would be extremely EZ and make the program EZ as you say. I have also demo`d Superior Drummer 2 and I have friend who uses it in his studio. Simply put, I do not like it nearly as much as EZD2. Plus, it costs a lot more to upgrade to SD2 just to get midi mapping! I still believe that midi mapping should be a standard feature in ANY midi program. AFAIK, EZD2 is the only program that does not have it. I have a $3500 E-Drum kit sitting here that I cannot use in my studio simply because EZD2 does not allow me to map the kit. I never would have bought it, had I known before hand.
And, if your company still stands behind the archaic policy to not advise of any future updates, then you are going to continue to loose people like me to other products. Telling people of future updates, or at least giving them some hope, would only help your business 😉
