Selecting an articulation by clicking on Center, Rimshot etc results in max loudness of the articulation. I've marked the buttons in red:

Is it possible to click without playing the articulation in Superior Drummer version 3.0.1?
When this is not possible, I suggest to play a soft articulation when clicking on the left side of the button, up to maximum volume on the right side of the button.
