The ARA system is a good idea, the problem with it that it's no standard amongst DAW:s. If we would chose to support it, it would take a considerable amount of time from our developing team, which could be used to do other stuff - improve other areas of SD3 for example. Unfortunately, one of the DAWs that support ARA - Sonar - has declared that their DAW may be stopped from further development.
However - I really like that DAWs improves their support for plugins, and I have noted this as a feature request 🙂
