To whom it may concern,
This known issue: – "Digital Performer 6: outputs become mono when the plugin window is closed in pre-rendering mode" seems to have a fix.
And that fix is: run Superior Drummer 2 in VST instead of AU.
To explain the known issue, in Digital Performer, if I want to run my Toontrack snare drum out 3-4, or 5-6 etc, I create a stereo audio track and
then select its input as "Superior Drummer 3-4 (or 5-6 or 7-8 etc.). But the problem comes in that, after saving the DP and coming back later,
that 3-4 input (snare or kick or anything) has reverted to "Superior Drummer 3". It appears to have reverted to mono, even though it is not even
working as a mono. It is silent.
But, yeah. So far running Superior Drummer as VST seems to be solving it for this iMac user.
I can "Save Project" from the "Load/Save" window and save a whole drum set, then "Load Project from same window in VST mode.
Then I can save it again in the "save to folder" at top left so the kits name appears in the window.
Hope this helps others.
Best, Jim in San Jose CA.
