True, and this EZX installer does not require EZdrummer 2. Could it be that you also have or have had Superior Drummer 2 installed? Then it must be at least version 2.3.0.

Hm, and you are really sure that EZdrummer 1.4.0 is installed? You can open EZdrummer and it says 1.4.0 in the interface? I see you are on Windows. Is it 64-bit or 32-bit Windows? What version?
