and if i recorded before a guitar track it gets faster than i should be if i speed up the midi file this is my problem
should i record the guitar track after importing the midi file?
I've recorded my guitar part first (to a click) and then added drums. I've also done drum tracks first and then added guitar. The important part is that I pick a tempo first and stick to it (if recording audio first). If you're not recording audio and just use MIDI, you can change tempo anytime. But if you're recording audio first, you should pick a tempo and stick to it.

Do you get a free expansion pack if you upgrade to EZdrummer 2? I got an email that really was not clear and when I add the expansion pack it wants to charge me.
I was able to get the demo up and running via wine. There was a small visual rendering issue but it was acceptable for me. Disclaimer: I did NOT buy the app due to the lack of support for Linux. I do Love EZDrummer and would buy it if the company would offer even the slightest bit of support for Linux!

I have the same question. Advertising isnt clear. "Included with regular purchase" and "no exclusions" should mean included with upgrade I think?
The free EZX is only when purchasing the 'Regular' version of EZD2 and not the 'upgrade' version.
I have the latest version of EZDrummer 2 downloaded and there are no updates on my product page but I keep getting this warning. What do I need to do to stop getting this warning?

I am a EZ1 user that´s why Toontrack sent that offer to me. First I was happy and thought, oh great offer, I am going to upgrade and buy and also get a free Expansion. But then I had to realize that you´d have to buy a regular Version to get a free ezx and I was pretty disappointed and wondered why Toontrack had sent that offer to me ?! It is a psychological matter: you get an offer, you like the offer and are happy, finally you are disappointed.... well whoever is responsible for this kind of promotion, he has not done a good job !

The upgrade has been tempting. The threat of the loss of the upgrade pricing has been noticed.
But lets face it, for those of us happy with EZD 1, this upgrade is pretty pricey.
The offer appears to "throw us a bone" so to speak. Put me on the fence and had me reconsidering. Might have sprung for the upgrade with the added expansion thrown in.

Not everybody is into metal. Programs and promotions seem to be stuck on that. Kind of getting old and cliche.

I recently purchased Ez Drummer 2 off the Toontrack website specifying that a free expansion was included, when the free product icon came up on the screen and I clicked it it took me to my cart and did nothing, after purchasing Ez Drummer I now have no way of downloading the free expansion without re-purchasing Ez Drummer. I am hoping for either a refund to re do the process or a link to download the Ez expansion that I am after, any help and reply would be much appreciated.

1. I would say inside EZD2 go to MENU > "Check for updates". The result should be a list of necessary updates.
2. You can go to MENU > "About EZDrummer". Here all version numbers of EZD2, EZX and MIDI libraries are listed in categories.
3. Login to your account and klick on MY PRODUCTS,. There is a tab "UPDATES". Download the latest MIDI files from here, unzip and install them.
4. If all this doesn't help maybe your library is defect. Then you should try MENU > "Advanced" > "Restore factory MIDI database" to repair the MIDI database. If this also does not help, for hardcore users, you can try to build up the new MIDI database if you delete what is inside the folder C:\Users\>>your_username<<\AppData\Roaming\Toontrack\EZdrummer\ .To eliminate issues sometimes a reinstallation of EZD2 and the MIDI files also can help. Do not delete the EZX libraries (waste of time)!
