My problem is that I couldn't figure out how to play EZdrummer 2 standalone using the computer keyboard.
Here's what I've tried:
I've opened EZdrummer 2 standalone and then I mouse click on the different drums
and hi-hats they interact and you can hear sound output. The problem is: Doing this by
mouse clicking is very restrictive and uncomfortable. I'd like to do it with my computer keyboard.
I've seen YouTube videos of people playing EZdrummer 1 & 2 with a computer
keyboard, so it is possible somehow. The question is how. Under each of said videos you'll find
at least one person asking 'how to play EZdrummer with computer keyboard?', sadly without
anyone answering it.
Just typing on some keys of the pc keyboard in hope they're pre-attached to the drums and
hi-hats won't do the trick.
Went to settings/midi-input, but the pc keyboard is not a midi input and consequently
wasn't listed. Pushing the re-scan button doesn't change a thing.
I have no midi device like a midi pad or midi keyboard, and that won't change
in the short term, because I'm totally broke. So, please don't suggest me
to buy a midi device instead of trying to play drums on my computer keyboard.
It's not of an option for me.
And I don't want to use the template drum patterns. I want to create my
own individual drum tracks. Hit by hit, easy and intuitively.
