You only have 2 inactive authorizations. One for each of your products. Please contact us when you have reached your limit of 4 and we can reset them then.

danny95 on NEEDED more 3/4 jazz, pop, and country midi grooves (Especially jazz)

WE NEED MORE 3/4 JAZZ, POP, AND COUNTRY GROOVES!!!
3/4 grooves are very poorly represented in you midi grooves.
Please supply a full session of 3/4 jazz contemporary mdi grooves for EZ drummer and EZ Keys... Its embarrassing how few there are!
This edition will be a big seller... we need them for our tunes!!

All the best
Danny

Carl on EZ keys -creating user midi styles?

Hi,
The preset styles that come with the midi packs are cool but I would like to know if it is possible to create my own midi styles/patterns & use with EZ keys.
If so how do I go about?

Henrik on EZ keys -creating user midi styles?

You can record your own MIDI files in (directly in EZkeys or in a DAW like Cubase, logic etc.) These files can then be placed on the track of EZkeys, or in a Favorite folder.
EZkeys will try to figure out what chords you have played and where the chord changes are. You can edit these with the Chord Correction tool - the one on the bottom of the tools to the left of the song track.

toondem on Usability Low on EZ Drummer 2- all because of the window

I love the sounds of the program but the constricted size window prevents easy use.

With modern screen resolutions, this program is small. If you could allow the window to scale, even if you do not scale the drums, it would really help.

Let me fill the screen. Sure, I could lower the resolution of the monitor, but that is a wasted workaround and affects other products.

If I had the resize option, I could see the midi loops that I want to pull together, or at least let me break the midi song creator section off into another window so I can actually see the tracks stack and get an idea of the song sections.

The drums sound great, but using the midi section to stack drum patterns is really clunky.Give me more real estate if you want to make it easy.

It would really help users.

jwood on Log in is Screwed Up

When I created my account, I had to specify both a user name and an email address. When I went to log in, I entered my user name and password as prompted. But it told my login was invalid.

After several attempts, I tried entering my email in the user name field and then it worked!

That is beyond confusing. You can't prompt for a "user name" when you are expecting an email instead of what you referred to as a "user name" earlier in the process. And then when I tried to send ToonTrack a note, I need to specify a product and serial code, etc., as though you'd really rather not hear about it. I'm new to ToonTrack. So far you're 0 for 1.

*Note: It appears that the normal login does suggest an email as a user name. However, the login that you are directed to when you get the email for creating an account just says User name where apparently the email is expected.*

aaron aardvark on Post-Rock EZX is supposed to have feedback sounds?

I just listened to the Post-Rock demos on toontrack's website. On a few occasions, I heard some slight (but very noticeable) feedback noise (that lasted several seconds). Are those noises really supposed to be there?

Damian Blunt on Post-Rock EZX is supposed to have feedback sounds?

There are bowed cymbal and singing bowl effects playing in the background which is what you are hearing, so those sounds are there by choice in the demo. The library also has a other percussive effects sounds that were recorded around the room.

evilio on Request - be specific about 12/8 vs 'swing' in future MIDI packs

Kylotan said

I have a whole bunch of the MIDI packs and when I am writing songs in standard 4/4, they're a lifesaver. But when it comes to other time signatures... they are supremely frustrating, because trying to separate out 'triplet feel' or compound time beats from 4/4-with-swing is more difficult than it should be.

The Monster Midi Pack by Peter Fredlander seems accurate enough (although a lot of Song 3 seems closer to a standard 12/8 really).
But in Library of the Extreme I and II, 'Swing 4/4' is entirely 12/8 (or 4/4 triplets if you prefer). There is no swing feel at all. Great for me, as personally I never want swing, but this should be labelled properly so the people who do want swing don't waste their time looking at this. (Maybe the overlap between people who want swing beats and blast beats is small, but still...)
In Metal Machinery, the Swing 4/4 beats are again almost entirely 12/8 feel, 3 hits per beat.
In the Ez Player Pro MIDI, there are separate Swing and 6/8 sections... but the 6/8 groove has a swing feel too! No use to me.
In Rock Warehouse, there is a Swing 4/4 section and a Straight 6/8 section. Great! These seem accurate.
In EZX Metal Machine, the Swing 4/4 section has 2 songs - the 130bpm has a clear swing to it, the 150bpm is another plain 12/8 beat.

So, a humble request - if it's 4/4 clearly divided into triplets... label it as 12/8. They're distinct from 4/4 swing, and although there is some scope for crossover in writing songs using beats from both, if you're explicitly looking for swing you probably don't want 12/8 and vice versa. And if it's got swing in it... label it as such. Otherwise you just disappoint people like me who search hard for straight 6/8 beats only to find they have a swing feel to them.

(Oh, and maybe consider throwing in more 6/8 beats in future? Those are a little sparse! I don't want to buy a pack full of 5/8, 7/8, 9/8, 11/8, just to get my hands on some 6/8 Image may be NSFW.

I do totally agree.. I need 12/8 beats like air and need swing/shuffle grooves EVEN WORSE! I spent DAYS navigating through my MIDI packs to find something useful.. I ended up making em by hand as there was nothing suitable to pick from really. Why don't TT hire a drummer that can properly handle some ballsy rock/fusion swing shuffle up beat? I think that a proper cocky fusion MIDI pack is still missing from the MIDI collection. Thanx
